Thirdwatch Setup and Configure Payment Links

Set up and configure Payment Links for risky cash on delivery (CoD) orders and convert them into prepaid orders.

Using Payment Links, you can convert risky cash on delivery (COD) orders to prepaid orders. The Payment Links are securely generated web addresses, an easy substitute and an effective option for COD. You can also offer discounts, which encourages the customers to make payments before the order is shipped. The Payment Links can be sent by email and SMS.

To setup Payment Links:

  1. Log on to the Thirdwatch Dashboard.

  2. Go to Apps → Payment Links.

  3. On this page:

    • If you are an existing Razorpay merchant, click Connect with Razorpay and enter your Razorpay login credentials.
    • If you are not an existing Razorpay merchant, click Sign up and create an account with Razorpay. Complete the KYC verification process and ensure your account is active and Settlements are enabled.

  4. You are navigated to the OAuth screen after entering the Razorpay account dashboard credentials. Click the Authorize button to allow Thirdwatch to access your store account on Razorpay.

  5. Your Razorpay account details are fetched and displayed. To disable the Payment Links option, click Disconnect your Razorpay PG account.

Configure Payment Links🔗

The below table lists the various fields that you need to specify for the Payment Links and their descriptions:

Link expires in

Select the expiry duration (in hours) for all Payment Links sent to your customers. By default, the expiry duration of all Payment Links is 24 hours.

Discount

Set a default discount amount on Payment Links issued to customers. Click Update Discount to save the changes. Click Edit/Remove to modify/delete the default discount option set for all payment links. Select the type of discount that should be applied:

  • Percentage of order amount
  • Flat price
Flat price

A fixed amount is deducted from the original amount.

Minimum order amount optional
For any given order, the discount will only be applied if its amount exceeds this minimum value.
Discount worth mandatory
Enter a percentage, say x, by which the original price should be reduced.
Let us say x is the Flat discount to be applied. Then, an amount equal to x is deducted from the total order amount.
Percentage of order amount

In this type, the discount is calculated in terms of the percentage of the order amount.

Minimum Order amount optional
For any given order, the discount will only be applied if its amount exceeds this minimum value.
Discount Worth mandatory
Let us say x is the percentage discount to be applied. Then, an amount equal to x (which is the percentage of the total order amount) is deducted from the total order amount.
Maximum discount optional
Enter the maximum discount value that can be offered for any order.
Reminders

Reminders will be sent to your customers based on the settings on the Razorpay Dashboard. On your Razorpay Dashboard, go to Settings → Reminders to enable or disable Reminders for Payment Links. Learn more about configuring reminders for Payment Links.

Click Save Changes to save this configuration for future use. You can now manually send Payment Links to your customers.
